sunday funday photo shoot

i was thrilled to receive an email from the owner of a magazine i've been reading for years.
Refueled Magazine reached out to us at esby and asked us to be featured in their 13th issue.
it was just released on a digital platform last week and hard copies are available for purchase here.

these are a few of my behind the scenes iphone shots.  click the links above to see how amazing the real shoot turned out.

[esby] apparel featured in EMMADIME's Lovely Lady series

i was so thrilled when fellow business owner/maker of beautiful things, Amy Tremper, asked me for an [esby] scarf for her Lovely Lady series on EMMADIME.  Amy owns STITCH&HAMMER -- a beautiful line of handmade leather goods.
click here to see the post i wrote this time last year about her beautiful work.
since then, we have stayed in touch and i was honored she chose an [esby] scarf to pair with her Madewell jean jacket, Everlane silk blouse, and Raleigh Denim jeans for the shoot.  how gorgeous is her sterling silver pin, pictured below?
but don't forget -- you have until the crack of dawn this thursday morning to grab your very own [esby] scarf.  the Kickstarter campaign, here, will be the only way to buy [esby] until production is complete in early summer.

be sure to head on over to EMMADIME and check out all of the other images on the shoot -- and read about what amy is up to these days.
in the meantime, check out these extra shots from the shoot with talented photog, Alison Vagnini:

[esby] apparel launch party

[esby] had a launch party a few weeks ago at one of my favorite spots in Austin, Hillside Farmacy, and it was such a lovely night!

we drank cava & punch, and ate cheese & oysters.  the first season of [esby] was on display for all to see.  it was really great to hear party-goers compliment the high qualities and hand-feels of each piece.

there was also a give-away!  those that came to the party could enter to win an [esby] scarf & gift card to hillside farmacy.  the winner was self-proclaimed "never wins a thing" and new friend, amanda vaughn!  she chose the [esby] small scarf in the ikat print.  congrats, amanda!  i can't wait to deliver your scarf once it's produced.

one of my favorite photographers, Jared Simpson, shot the event.

pre-order your season one [esby] piece at Kickstarter.com through march 5th before it's all gone!

[esby] apparel announces stretch goal!

last week was definitely one amazing week.
[esby] apparel launched on the crowd funding site, Kickstarter.com, last Tuesday with great success.  we've already received a lot of pre-orders for season one!  so many, in fact, that [esby] hit it's funding goal of $10,000 on day TWO of our 30 day campaign.  today--one week later, we are 160% funded, and still going strong.

in order to keep momentum, we are trying for a stretch goal of $50,000!!!  we figure…why not just go for it??

there are still a lot of season one styles available for pre-order through the Kickstarter campaign.  and don’t forget- once the campaign ends, [esby] won't be available for purchase anywhere else until early summer!

by raising $50,000, [esby] will be even closer to becoming a full time business.  as the sole owner and only employee, I would love to be able to take [esby] to the next level.  i want to have inventory ready to go as soon as possible, get [esby] stocked in stores and online at esbyapparel.com, and move quickly towards [esby] season two.
with the reaction the campaign has received so far, i know this is possible!
i have been blown away by the amazing response in just one week.  i have already received interest from boutiques across the nation that want to stock [ebsy], read emails from many fans of the line, and i was even asked to speak to a entrepreneurial grad school class about the Kickstarter process.

and there are still THREE MORE WEEKS TO GO!  the project will end on march 6th

i really think [esby] can do it, but [esby] can’t do it without YOUR help!

it's been a long, fun, thrilling, ride launching [esby] so far -- let's see where we can land.  please continue to share with anyone you think might be interested in supporting this small american brand.  thank you again for all of the support and making my dream come true.
